This movie is directed by the guy who brought us Moon, Duncan Jones. Moon was his first movie, and he showed great promise as a directer. Now he is back in his latest movie Source Code. She knows him by the name of Sean Fentress. He finds a mirror on the train. He sees a face that is not his. It's a confusion beginning. I am going to tell a little more about the plot. If you do not want to no any more about the plot and go in knowing only a little about the plot, skip the next several lines.

After eight min. the train blows up. He wakes up to find himself trapped in a small capsule. There a Air Force Capt. Colleen Goodwin(Vera Varmiga) explains to him through a computer screen that he is actually Colter Stevens, a decorated soldier. He then learns that he is part of an experiment called Source Code. It lets him cross over into anther mans identity in the last eight min. of his life. His mission is to locate the person who blew up that train. He can not save the passengers on the train, but if he can stop the bomber, he can prevent a bigger attack that will kill millions in downtown Chicago.

He only has eight min. to identify the bomber before the train blows up again. That's the cool thing, watching him go back every time and keep trying to find out who the bomber is, trying new things every time. Checking out the passengers one by one. That pretty much raps up the whole plot. It is an ingenious one. Source Code is like the science-fiction thriller version of Groundhog Day. That is actually a good thing. Groundhog Day dealt with that sort of plot well, and download Source Code movie handles it just as well.

Ben Ripley's screenplay is a great one, and gives Jones plenty of tension and excitement to work with. Duncan Jones just knows how to make a good sci-fi movie. Source Code is only his second movie, Moon being his first. It is a great accomplishment to have only made made two movies, and having both of those movies being great.

Jones gets another good lead, Jake Gyllenhaal. Jake Gyllenhaal is simply terrific. One of his best movie performances in my opinion. The rest of the cast does a good job as well. You forgive some minor issues with the movie because you are so ensnared in the plot. This is actually a smart action movie. A lot of dumb action movies have been coming out lately that just stink. It is nice to see a smart one for a change.

A great action thriller movie with a twist. Bourne/Inception mash up with a hint of Matrix (Might just be me there).Great acting with Jake Gyllenhaal, Michelle Monaghan and Vera Farmiga, a hooking plot with twists and quite an original story. It's very rare I commend a director for a f... read moreilm but I have to here; Duncan Jones seams to have thought of it all and doesnt leave me questioning his approach for a second, a nice refreshing change to see a director thinking for once. Overall an enjoyable watch.

A really great film with solid acting, some mind-bending sci-fi, romance, thrills and suspense. I've always enjoyed the "time-loop" style storylines, but this is a likeable movie for much more than just it's setup. You can argue about the ending, but that is part of the beauty of a film like this... some ambiguity and discussion is more fun than a simple cut & dry explanation of things. Personally I don't think the ending is hard to decipher at all, especially when compared with movies like Primer or Inception. As for major plot holes... there really aren't any if you understand what happened.

Jake Gyllenhaal is a believable hero who we can care about, Michelle is beautiful and friendly, and Vera Farmiga is excellent as a conflicted, compassionate military officer. I believe the biggest factor in creating suspense is if you CARE about what happens, and I did in this movie.

Yes, the ending is a challenge in at least one way.... Colter is inhabiting the body of a previously existing individual. That naturally is going to create conflict down the road when his family wonders why he remembers nothing about them, etc. Source Code movie download

But I believe the bottom line is a far better world for Colter (and everyone else) than the one he just left... and that is why this is a happy ending. After all, I think most of us would be happy if we knew our own actions left the world a better place than if we hadn't been there.
